The word "booty" is so gross. And "panties" too.

Why is "panties" such a bad word?
This is the second place in this forum that someone has complained about the word.
I am confused because to my mind a thing is called what it is called, it would be like saying you don't like the word "apple".

I can't account for anyone else, but I just don't like it. Probably because of the annoying nasally way so many people say it. Regardless of the fact that it's just want something is called, the way the word is said-- or certain associations-- can just irk me sometimes.
Like the way people don't like "moist" because it just somehow sounds... dirty. Personally, I always think of really awesome chocolate cake when I hear "moist."

I don't think of chocolate cake.
But I don't consider what I
do think of to be "dirty." It's a natural process.
After all, what's really so wrong with sweat?
