Not a very effective one, if so

OK... Reminds me of a story from when I managed support (and did network and system admin) at an ISP... We had a woman call in who complained that she couldn't send out any email. We spend hours on the phone with her, and still nothing. Finally, because it's a service we did for our customers at no cost, we had her bring her machine in to fix her email troubles. She does, and we set up her machine and launch Outlook Express... The outbox has
10,000 emails in it! Yes, she was sending spam by hand, via Outlook Express, over dialup! So I called her (the only time I ever had to call a customer because of spam) and confronted her. Here's how that went:
Me: "Ma'am, you've violated our terms of service for sending spam through our system."
Customer: "It's not spam."
Me: "Is it unsolicited?"
Customer: "Yes."
Me: "Is it commercial?"
Customer: "Yes."
Me: "And it's email."
Customer: "Yes."
Me: "So it's Unsolicited Commercial Email."
Customer: "Yes?"
Me: "So it's spam."
Customer: "No! It's not spam."
Insert argument over the definition of "spam" here.
Me: "Ma'am, I'm not going to argue over the definition of spam. But you're in violation of your terms of service. I'm going to have to ask you to stop, or terminate your account."
Customer: (reluctantly) "OK."
Yes. The above conversation actually happened. Have I had some great job experiences, or what?
