I've been reading Pendragon like allllllll day and it's getting sooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!! Except that the traveler from Ibara is an idiot. But he sounds really hot, so it's okay. But I was really angry at the way he treated Bobby, but the part where he started crying....awwww it was soooo adorable. That probably made no sense if you've never read Pendragon. Oh well.

What is it about?

The summary of the series on wikipedia makes it sound really cliché, so I guess I'll try to explain it.

Basically it's about this guy named Bobby who is a traveler. There are ten "territories" that make up Halla (Halla being everything that ever is, everything that ever was, and everything that ever will be). Each territory has its own traveler. Bobby's the traveler from Second Earth (present-day Earth). The other territories are First Earth (Earth in the year 1937), Third Earth (Earth in the year 5050), Denduron (world of frozen continents, inhabited by weird primitive tribes), Ibara (tropical paradise ruled by opressive government), Eelong (world covered completely by jungle, and controlled by a cat-like species called Klees), Cloral (world built entirely underwater), Quillan (creepy place...all the people on it are basically suppressed by these machines called DADOS, and every bit of information about the history of the territory has been destroyed by the government), etc. etc. Anyway, each territory has a "turning point" and Bobby and the other traveler's duty is to make sure that the territory's turning point turns out for the better. He's fighting against this weird dude who wants to destroy the different territories and...oh nevermind it's too hard to explain and I'm making it sound just as cliche as wiki did. It's sorta fantasy/scifi awesomeness, and it's just...yeah. Reading it reminds me of playing a video game. That's prolly why I like it so much.
