I think she's talking to Lucy, as well.

PushedButton - I disagree. In Gemma's video, "An Awkward Silence", she said that OpAphid meant to "Acknowledge their Position and Help to Initiate a Dialogue." The "D" could either be destroy or dialogue.
Destroy would make more sense, though.

APHID holds a dual meaning. Those on the periphery of the "Order" believe your version (the one Gemma expounds in her video). While those in the "inner circle" understand it's more sinister implications - as PB alludes to.

I'd like to thinks it's Dialogue -- the one thing they haven't actually tried. They've done plenty of analyzing, hindering, and infiltrating, but they've not explained a damn thing yet.

Maybe they'd get a more favorable response if they'd actually explain what it is they're up to. Though somehow I doubt that their explanation would be warm and fuzzy if they didn't try that to start with.

Anyway, I'm still naively holding out hope for Gemma to a) be a good guy or b) redeem herself. Whichever applies.

i was listening tothe video on my ipod with the volum cranked.

it sounds like shes saying
"are you sure the d in aphid is an option"
more then
"are you sure the d in aphid isn't an option."

thats jsut my two cents on the audio. I don't know if i'm 100% correct on this, but just throwing it out there.

sorry to double post...but we've already been told by OpAphid that this is just a "fairytale" they tell the children of the order.

THe letters we have are confirmed answers to them from opaphid herself.

She definitely says "isn't." I can understand her clearly.

Besides, even if the volume was too low, missing syllables is what you'd expect, not extra ones.
